Vacation Journal Part Five

Sun Aug 14, 2005, 11:26 AM
Aaaand yet another one. Here ya go. Ya know... I hope this is at least providing entertainment for one person...

8-12-05 Eh, not really a vacation, but I'm bored and wanted to try out my new gel pens. Kay, so woke up at 6:45 or so this morning. Actually, it was probably more towards 7... eh, but that's totally irrelevant. We eventually left for Pymatuning (my grandparents have a trailer house thing up here), which is up by Erie, so we're up visiting them. Nothing eventful in the car, just slept, looked out the window, and listened to music. It's only a 2 1/2 hour trip. Got up here and I fell asleep right away (I was really tired). My sister, mom, and grandma went down to the lake (there’s three of them in walking distance from here, so I’ll get down there eventually). So when I woke up, had homemade pizza (love having an Italian family:-p), then off to shopping. (Whoa, I just saw a preview for “The Brothers Grimm” and MAN does it look good. Anyone coming with me for the opening?) (Ah, saw one for the Skeleton Key…. Oh wait, my sister just claimed me for that). But anyways, shopping, right. At Value City, I got these pirate/gypsy flood pants, orange kind of hippy shirt, a very pretty maroon shirt, and a black lacey kind of shawl. Then my sister and I bought a load of school stuff. At Joanne Fabrics, I got really cool fabric and my mom’s going to help me make a nice gypsy skirt. Hm… watching tv so I might write later.

8-13-05 Well, on our way home :-p. Told ya it wasn’t much of a vacation. Kay, so last night we went to the Spillway (“Where the ducks walk on the fish”). I took a bunch of pictures, but most of them didn’t come out because moving objects are bloody hard to take pictures of (But it was such a cute baby duck). But anyways, I took another picture for the photography contest on the forums if I can substitute it for another picture. After we left from feeding the fish and birds, we went looking for deer, so I started a new bracelet (I hate looking for deer… I find it incredibly boring and pointless). Since we got back to the trailer, we had smores and I watched Jurassic Park III). Forget the fact that I’ve only seen half of the first and never saw the second). I really liked that movie though. Billy was my favorite . Yay. Oh! And I read half of the Crucible last night. Amazingly, it’s a LOT better than I honestly expected. I was up til 12:45 reading that, but didn’t get to sleep til about 1:15 or so because I jumped at every little sound my imagination pretended to hear. Also besides the fact that my sister and I were watching ghost documentaries for the majority of yesterday. So I eventually got to sleep (after much daydreaming which always puts me to sleep) and had a dream I was a model or something. Woke up today around 11 I think? Had these AMAZING pancakes my mom and grandma made (they picked berries earlier this morning and made a sweet sauce out of it). And then it was time for more shopping! Yay! We went to a ceramics store (they sell really awesome clay sculptures and whatnot) then to Cutters (a kind of “every piece of junk you could ever imagine sold here” store) where I bought a keychain, gypsy necklaces, and two Star Wars folders. Then off to Fashion Bug (one of the only clothing stores I like) where I bought two shawls, a brown tie dye long sleeve, a pink flowery top, and a bunch of those brown sparkly gelly bracelets (Matt would be proud of me ;). Ah, funny story. My mom locked herself out of her dressing room at Fashion Bug by accident, so I had to crawl UNDER the door (which wasn’t that high off the ground so I didn’t have much room) to unlock it. I was also in a really dressy shirt cause I was trying on clothes, too. It was funny . Trust me. Back to the trailer where I read Act III (having a few difficulties with the interpreting questions, so I still have to do a few of those) and watched a little of “Threshold” and “Jaws II” until we ate (gnocchi in sauce…mmm…). Then it was goodbyes. Now I’m bored in traffic) Oh! I had a dream last night that I drove, too. I think it was in some parking lot, but I didn’t have my permit. I was still awesome at it though, of course :-p. So I don’t know if there was some kind of accident up here or something, but traffic is all backed up. And I’m running out of songs on my cd. Grr. That means I’ll have to put a new cd in. Man, I hate traffic, especially when it’s because of an accident. You’re always afraid of what you may see. I hate cars. They’re just a bad idea. Period. If it were up to me, we’d all teleport wherever we needed to go. Ok, now I’m just rambling, so I’ll just end this entry here. I’ll probably be writing the next entry from home. This is Gina, signing off.

Kay, back at home. The reason we sat in traffic for over an HOUR, was because some idiots decided to do construction on a major road highway thingy? So three lanes had to converge into one. My sister and I took a million random pictures from the backseat of the car, especially of us making stupid faces. Twas fun . And that’s pretty much the extent of my Pymatuning vacation!
